Sonia Cheng is a Managing Director within FTI’s Technology Consulting practice, currently leading the EMEA Information Governance Privacy and Security practice. She is a trusted advisor to some of the world’s largest financial services, insurance, pharmaceutical and energy firms. Sonia has over 20 years of experience leading diverse technology and compliance programmes around the globe. Sonia previously held leadership roles at IBM where she was responsible for leading global transformation programmes addressing complex data, legal, records and privacy risks in over 15 countries. Prior to IBM, Sonia held programme, technology leadership and financial analysis roles at PSS Systems, Wells Fargo, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley. Sonia graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering. Sonia holds a patent as a co-inventor of the capacity ledger (US920130122) which facilitates storage forecasting & policy optimisation whilst at IBM.
