Simon Walsh, is Special Counsel in Cadwalader’s Global Litigation Group, and a recognised lawyer in Legal 500 UK. Simon focuses his practice on high value complex cross-border litigation and international commercial arbitration. He has acted for clients in the technology, telecom, private equity, financial, maritime, offshore, power and aviation sectors. Simon acted in some of the world’s largest telecoms arbitrations to date, as well as the largest litigation to come before the courts of the Bermuda. Simon’s practice includes providing advice to clients on data protection and data breach issues under the GDPR, both in an advisory capacity and in litigation. Simon currently acts in a multi-billion pound representative action in the English high courts against technology companies Oracle and Salesforce relating to their use of third party tracking cookies.
Prior to joining Cadwalader, Simon was Senior Investment Officer with Woodsford Litigation Funding in London, where he was responsible for global litigation and arbitration investments. Simon had a particular focus on the funding of class actions (in the UK, Australia and Canada) and shareholder activism and group/representative litigation in England & Wales, such as claims brought under section 90 and 90A FSMA, as well as collective actions before the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
