Joanne Neary

Assistant Commissioner of Ireland’s Data Protection Commission, One of the world’s leading data protection regulators

Joanne is a Senior Legal Advisor and Assistant Commissioner at the Data Protection Commission since 2018. In addition to her legal advisory role, Joanne is also currently lead investigator in a number of cross-border processing investigations into multinational companies. Joanne also regularly represents the DPC at expert sub-groups of the European Data Protection Board.

Prior to joining the DPC, Joanne worked in private legal practise advising on data protection, information technology and intellectual property in a leading Irish law firm.
