Principal Policy Officer, European Commission

I work as a policy officer of the European Commission since 2008.

I advise senior and top management on strategic issues related to digital policies, including distributed technologies such as blockchain, European and global standardisation, and the socio-economic impact of digitalisation acrossEU Member States. I am also responsible for the “future of work” portfolio within the Directorate-General for Communication Networks, Content andTechnology (DG CONNECT). I provide analysis, assessment and policy options to address the impact of digitisation on EU labour markets.

Between2014 and 2018 I was the Counsellor for the Digital Economy at the Delegation of the European Union to the USA, in Washington DC. I was the liaison between theEU and the US on policy, regulation and research activities related to theInternet and Information & Communication Technologies, including the EUDigital Single Market strategy.

Previously,I worked on cyber-security, privacy / personal data protection, cloud computing and Internet governance.
