I’m the Open University Data Protection Evangelist. I am currently working to improve data maturity, and endeavour to make it interesting. As interesting as ROPA and DPIA’s can be. I am a PECB Certified Data Protection Officer, having joined to OU to support GDPR transition and getting bitten by the DP bug. My previous history is a storied one of customer service management and latterly, complaints management, the regulatory aspects of which have proved very useful in the DP sphere.
CMOs need to think seriously about how and why they use data. But, while they harness the power of data, they must do so ethically - taking care of human values at the same time. This panel will explore how companies are embracing new technologies to utilise data as part of their strategy, whilst ensuring consumers trust their brand.
