Simon Hinks

Director, PMA

Simon spent many years in Financial Services working across a range of products and services which included regulated products. Roles included Head of Direct Marketing and Data to Process Design to CRM. Data Protection has always been on his agenda and since setting up his business eighteen years ago, he has worked across many different business sectors for both B2B and B2C, including being a judge for the DMA and Loyalty Awards. 

For the last 4 years he has focused primarily on GDPR, helping businesses become compliant with the new regulation. To date he has worked across all sectors, private to charity to online banking to schools. He has been retained as a consultant DPO (data protection officer) for many of his clients.

A member of the GDPR Institut, he has written core modules for the new IDM (Institute of Direct Marketing) GDPR certificate which won an award this year. Been guest lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh and speaks at security events about Facial Recognition.

He calls himself a GDPR Practitioner which means he’s most interested in understanding the impact on today’s business.
