Jane is Co-founder of Arcanum Information Security Ltd, a National Cyber Security Centre certified company. A cyber security professional with over 20 years’ experience, she has advised organisations including: the European Commission; NATO Communications and Information Agency; European and American Defence companies; the Ministry of Defence; Government Departments, Agencies and Police Forces. A former RAF officer, alongside her civilian career, she was a military Reservist intelligence officer in the RAuxAF then an Army Reservist being the first woman to command the Army’s largest cyber security unit. She fulfils several voluntary roles: Advisory Board of the Research Institute in Sociotechnical Cyber Security. Worshipful Company of Information Technologists Security Panel; NCSC Panel Member assessing cyber security Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees applications for certification. Chartered Institute of Information Security assessor for the certified Cyber Professional scheme. Previously British Computer Society Information Security Specialist Group committee member and UK Cyber Security Challenge host and assessor.
